Graduate Research

As part of SIPA InteRegional Studies Initiative, we are collecting examples of students at the MA or PhD level who are doing significant work on inter-regional research, with topics that connect two or more of the five main regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Mideast.

Here is a list of the names of the students along with the topic of their graduate research:

  • Jean-Louis, FĂ©lix: Thesis (MA in AADS) on the role played by Haitian intellectuals and activists in the Harlem Renaissance movement. Spring 2012.
  • Roegele, Johanna Maria: Master's Essay (MA in Asian Studies) on "China in Angola: Understanding the Forgotten History of a Relationship." Advisors: Dr. Steven Heine and Dr. Jean Rahier. Spring 2012.
